Summary
Egale Canada is a national organization that works to improve the lives of 2SLGBTQI people. They do this through research, education, awareness, and legal advocacy. Egale offers workshops and develops tools for educators, service providers, employers, advocates, and peers that give reliable and current information for 2SLGBTQI people and communities.
One of these tools is Egale’s downloadable guide “What should you do when a 2SLGBTQI young person comes out to you?” This guide offers practical tips on how to respond in a kind and supportive way. It lists eight things to consider when talking about coming out. It also includes links to other helpful resources.
